Why Is My Printer Printing Blank Pages?
A blank page can come from supply/installation problems, the wrong printer or queue, driver/application issues, inkjet nozzle/ink-delivery faults, laser consumable/imaging faults or a printer error. This low-ink sheet helps you confirm whether the printer can place any marks on the paper at all.
- Completely white output: check cartridge installation, toner seating, protective tape and printer selection.
- Only faint marks: check quality/eco mode, supply status, media settings and the printer's own quality report; inkjet delivery/nozzle issues and laser toner/imaging issues require different follow-up checks.
- Margins are missing: scaling or paper-size settings may be wrong.
- Text missing but frame prints: check document color settings and printer driver options.
Inkjet vs Laser Next Checks
Inkjet: check supply status and the printer's own nozzle/quality report. A completely blank browser page does not by itself prove a clogged printhead.
Laser: check toner/cartridge seating, internal reports and any printer error. Do not use inkjet nozzle-cleaning steps.
Compare With an Internal Printer Report
If the printer can produce its own configuration or print-quality report but the browser test is blank, software, driver, queue or application settings become more plausible. If internal reports are also blank, the printer/supply path deserves closer model-specific diagnosis.
